100 Women Who Care Halifax makes giving easy for busy gals! Our quick one hour meeting format has lasting i
mpact and has raised over 600 thousand dollars. The core of our membership commitment is to donate $100 four times a year. This special group of women want to give back to our community in a simple hassle-free way and get together 4 times a year for one hour. Three local non-profits present at our meetings. The chosen recipient receives $100 checks (or online donation) from each member right on the spot. 100% of donations goes directly to the local non-profit and tax deductions are provided. Imagine the power of multiplying a simple $100 donation by a group of 100+ women to a single charity in a single evening. That’s the Power of 100. Join a great bunch of giving gals. Our organization was formed in November 2012 and is one of a small, but growing number of Canadian 100 Women Who Care group. Toronto was Canada’s first chapter, having been started in March 2012. We hope more chapters will form in other Canadian cities as they get wind of what we are doing and how simple and powerful the 100 Women concept is.
