Come join us tomorrow 🎟️

We’re excited to attend the Working Class Heritage Tour, led by Labour folklorist Emma Lang.

This year’s tour focuses on the experiences and contributions of migrants to Atlantic Canada. The walking tour is part of the Festival, an annual celebration of workers and the arts.

Every year on April 28th, we commemorate the Day of Mourning by remembering the workers who are killed and injured on the job, or who die from occupational diseases. We call on the governments across Canada to make work safer, starting with better enforcement of the Westray Law.

Today, PSAC Atlantic attended ceremonies in Halifax, Kentville, Edmunston, and others across the region.

Chaque année, le 28 avril, nous commémorons le Jour de deuil en nous souvenant des travailleurs qui sont tués ou blessés au travail, ou qui meurent de maladies professionnelles. Nous demandons aux gouvernements du pays d’améliorer la sécurité au travail, en commençant par une meilleure application de la loi Westray.

Aujourd’hui, l’AFPC Atlantique a participé aux cérémonies à Halifax, Kentville, Edmunston et ailleurs dans la région.
