HCi3 supports innovative projects that help Halifax/Kjipuktuk achieve its goal of becoming net-zero by 2050 through a just and equitable low-carbon transition.

Funding is available for projects that directly reduce greenhouse gas emissions or lay the groundwork for long-term emissions reductions while creating meaningful community benefits. Priority areas include low-carbon housing, community-based renewable energy, and shared or electric transportation.

Two funding streams are available:
• Acceleration Stream: Up to $75,000 for projects that scale and accelerate impact
• Catalyst Stream: Up to $10,000 in seed funding for new initiatives

The Accessible Canada Fund's National AccessAbility Week stream is accepting applications for projects that promote accessibility, inclusion, and disability awareness across Canada.

Eligible organizations can apply for up to $180,000 over three years, or up to $360,000 for projects with regional or national scope and partnerships within the disability community.

Projects will support National AccessAbility Week activities in 2027, 2028, and 2029 that celebrate the contributions of persons with disabilities and help create more accessible and inclusive communities and workplaces.

The New Horizons for Seniors Program is now accepting applications for community-based projects that support social inclusion and active participation among seniors.

Eligible organizations can apply for up to $50,000 to deliver projects that are designed by seniors and for seniors. Municipal governments, non-profits, Indigenous organizations, educational institutions, and other eligible groups are encouraged to apply.

Projects can support volunteering, mentoring, elder abuse awareness, social participation, and community space improvements that help seniors stay connected and engaged.

The Sustainable Communities Challenge Fund supports community climate action projects across Nova Scotia through grants ranging from $75,000 to $1,000,000.

Round 4 supports projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, strengthen climate resilience, improve water security, and help communities adapt to climate change. Priority adaptation projects include drought resilience, water supply solutions, coastal protection, and nature-based infrastructure.

Applicants must contribute a portion of project costs, with funding covering between 60% and 80% of eligible expenses.

📅 Projects must be completed by November 30, 2027. Pre-screening deadline is June 25, 2026.
