🌊 science doesn’t happen in a vacuum!

Last week, screened an episode of Wild Nova Scotia screening with over 40 members of our community.

Why?

Because engaging with community members is a key step in building trust.

Bringing students, researchers, and community members together to talk about local projects like Making Room for Wetlands helps create the connections that make climate adaptation possible.

Research in science communication shows that mutual learning and open dialogue are key to building public trust in environmental action. When people can ask questions, share local knowledge, and see themselves reflected in solutions, engagement becomes more meaningful and lasting.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us. your insights, questions, and lived experiences are what make this work stronger.

Together, we’re shaping a community around nature-based solutions that’s collaborative, evidence-informed, and grounded in place.
