Way to go Rachel!

Meet Rachel Nalepa, site lead at Dartmouth General Hospital. Outside of her role at Nova Scotia Health, Rachel is a taekwondo black belt who has competed internationally and was recently named Senior Female Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row.

She never expected taekwondo to become such an important part of her life. What began with one class grew into a passion that challenged her, built her confidence and shaped the way she approaches her leadership role. She says the lessons learned on the mat help her navigate challenges, support her team and recognize the potential in others.

“For me, it was the beginning of a whole new chapter that I never thought, even in a million years, I would have dreamed of,” says Rachel.
