The Bank of Canada has announced that it is keeping its key interest rate unchanged at 2.25%.

What does this mean for you?

🏡 Homeowners: If you have a variable rate or a line of credit, your rate will remain the same for the time being.
🔄 Up for renewal? This is a great opportunity to review your options and plan your next term with confidence.
💰 Thinking about refinancing? Stable rates can make it a good time to explore ways to consolidate debt, access equity, or improve cash flow.

Every situation is different, and small rate changes can still have a big impact over time. If you’re coming up for renewal or thinking about refinancing, this is a great time to review your options and make sure you’re in the best position possible. Let’s chat 📩

**Just a reminder: the Bank of Canada rate is not the same as the rate you receive on your mortgage. Lenders base variable mortgage rates on prime rate, which is currently 4.45%, not the 2.25% policy rate you may see in the news.
