On November 29, 2025 the Canadian Lebanon Society was proud to attend an event in Yarmouth Nova Scotia to unveil a display celebrating the history of the Lebanese who settled and help build the community in Yarmouth. Past President Georgette Faddoul attended and said a few words on behalf of the Society. We look forward to many more opportunities to support communities across the province in the promotion of Lebanese culture and heritage!

The Canadian Lebanon Society was proud to host an event to close out Lebanese Heritage Month on November 29, 2025. The Society also celebrated a milestone made possible with the support of three of its long standing members who were recognized for their commitment to the Society that night. On Saturday September 27, 2025, the Canadian Lebanon Society of Halifax was proud to host a gathering to celebrate the accomplishments of The Honourable Lena Metlege Diab, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. Minister Diab served seven terms as President of the Society and has been a strong voice for the Lebanese community throughout her career. Under her support, Nova Scotia was the first province to declare November as Lebaneae Heritage Month, and Minister Diab was instrumental in having Novemeber declared as National Lebenese Heritage Month across Canada in November 2023. We are very proud of her accomplishments and her contributions to the Society and the Lebanese communities in Canada. Thank you Minister Diab!
