🌟 Thank You for Joining Our 2026 New Year Celebration! 🌟
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the Sri Lankan New Year (Aluth Avurudu) Celebration! Your presence, vibrant energy, and community spirit made this event incredibly special. It was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate our rich traditions and share beautiful memories.
As we strive to improve our future events, we want to sincerely acknowledge a few challenges we faced during the day and extend our apologies:
Delayed Start & Food Logistics: We are truly sorry for the delayed start to the program and for the delay in serving food. We know you were eager to celebrate and we appreciate your immense patience and understanding.
Sound Disruption: We apologize for the conflict of sounds experienced during the event. Managing audio in a shared space can be tricky, and we are sorry for any discomfort this caused during the performances and announcements.
Missed Photo Session: Because things ran a bit behind schedule, our main group photography session took place toward the very end of the event. We are deeply sorry that some of our wonderful guests had already departed and missed out on the pictures—we truly valued your presence!
We will be sharing the photos that were captured very soon. Thank you all once again for your incredible support, your feedback, and for making this an unforgettable celebration.
Subha Aluth Avuruddak Wewa! 🇱🇰🇨🇦

Upon a special invitation from the Chinese Society of Prince Edward Island, the Sri Lanka Canada Association of the Atlantic Region (SLCAAR) was honored to participate in the prestigious 3rd Annual Spring Festival. Represented by President Mr Chrismarlon Perera, Secretary Mr Mangala Ranasighe, and dedicated member Mrs. Hamsa Umasuthan, the association utilized this platform to elegantly showcase the profound 2,000-year historical relationship between China and Sri Lanka. It was a remarkable success and a true pleasure to introduce our rich culture, ancient traditions, and future opportunities to the local Chinese community, diverse multicultural groups, and influential Canadian politicians within PEI.

The photographs and video featured here capture these vibrant moments of cultural diplomacy and community engagement. From the official presentations to the shared celebration of heritage, these visuals document our commitment to fostering strong bonds across the Atlantic region. We are proud to share these highlights of our Executive Committee in action as they continue to bridge history with modern Canadian multiculturalism.
