SOSNS

SOSNS is a Mental Health Awareness Campaign with three (3) main focuses - Community Support, Creative Solutions, and Provincial Funding.

This facebook group is in support of the Campaign for Change. This page is a safe place to share your personal stories of how the Nova Scotia Healthcare System has let you down in times of Mental Health needs. We are all tired of the lack of help in Nova Scotia for those who suffer mental health problems - especially in times of emergencies when one is feeling suicidal and has nowhere to go

without being told "it's not serious enough" or "call back tomorrow" We are starting a campaign called and we are hoping to get the attention of legislation by standing together and making our voices heard. Far too many lives have already suffered the cost of insufficient mental health resources and lack of mental health emergency response teams. Thank you for supporting this campaign for change

Our Story

This Facebook group is in support of the #SOSNS Campaign for Change. This page is a safe place to share your personal stories of mental illness and creative solutions to ongoing issues with the Mental Health System of Nova Scotia.

#SOSNS is a Mental Health Awareness Campaign with three (3) main focuses - Community Support, Su***de Prevention, and Provincial Funding.

This campaign started with the belief that if we all stand together we can create a change and save lives. Too many lives have been lost due to the lack of mental health support in Nova Scotia, and it is up to us to stand up and have our voices heard. Please join us in the fight to gain provincial funding for our hospitals to have permenant 24/7 mental health crisis teams and more support groups, therapists, and programs to help those seeking help.

Things will only continue to get worse if something is not done; the time is now.
