Creating a unique marketplace for Crafters since 2004. We also strive to make the market accessible to the community by offering free admission.

Halifax Crafters is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization with a mandate to encourage new artists and local art making. Our membership and board is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers that work to fulfill our mission and vision within the creative community and organize our bi-annual craft markets to best serve our exhibitors. We are proud to be a part of a vibrant community of independent craft and art markets in the city of Halifax. We strive to remain a financially accessible market for vendors while staying fresh, seeking out new talent and encouraging new craftspeople to enter the marketplace. In order to maintain a unique and engaging market, all applicants are juried every market by a rotating jury, including a guest juror from outside of the Halifax Crafters membership. Each year we organize two shows, one in the spring and one before the Christmas holidays. Our carefully curated and unique market is a place where established and emerging Crafters show their work side by side.

Reminder: Due to the nature of getting 100+ vendors organized, and occasional last minute changes in vendor’s schedules, sometimes the vendors list changes a bit after posting as we utilize our waitlist.

As always check our website or your fave maker to confirm attendance closer to the date.

Support our upcoming Winter Market!

Halifax Crafters is looking for people to join our awesome organization to support our upcoming Winter Market at the new venue. We are currently looking for folks who would like to join one of our Organizing Committees.

WHAT DO ORGANIZERS DO?

As an Organizing Committee member, you could help create posts for Social Media, distribute Posters, contact Sponsors, support Floorplan, and or more. The best thing is that you would be joining a team of experienced members, lending support where you can.

Ideally we're looking for people who can volunteer 5 - 10hrs of time between now and the Winter Market (Nov 27 - 29). With the move to our new venue, we'd love a little extra support to help ensure the transition is as smooth as possible.
