The Godfather of Harm Reduction ❤️

01/20/2026

The holidays are always a special time at Joan’s Table, and this year was no exception. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, community groups, and local businesses, residents at Herring Cove Apartments and The Rebuilding enjoyed beautiful holiday meals shared in welcoming, communal spaces.

At The Rebuilding, tables were set with festive fixings and neighbours gathered to eat together, socialize, and connect — a reminder that food is about more than nourishment. As we head into the new year, moments like these ground us in why this work matters.

January meal planning is underway, and we welcome your continued commitment as we move into 2026 together.

Watch for these signs of an overdose:
• Slow or no breathing
• Blue or pale lips and fingertips
• Unresponsive or can’t be woken up
• Gurgling or snoring sounds
• Limp body or clammy skin

💉 Naloxone works.
It can reverse an opioid overdose in minutes and save a life.
