The 2026 season kicked off with preseason and regular season action across the country, and our Football Nova Scotia alumni came out swinging.🔥

🔵Nate Slawter (Guelph Gryphons)- 4 tackles
🔵Nolan Cheeseman (Mount Allison Mounties) - punched in the team’s only TD
🔵 Aiden Rossong (StFX Men) — 1‑yard TD run
🔵 Liam Legge (Saint Mary’s Huskies) — 68 yard TD run
🔵 Chandler Zinck‑Marier (Saint Mary’s Huskies) - 10‑yard TD
🔵 Logan Walton (Queen’s Gaels) - 4 receptions for 55 yards

Football Nova Scotia is proud to launch a new Brain Health & Concussion Support Pilot for Bantam athletes during the 2026 Minor Football season.

Through our partnership with Rhea Health, participating Bantam players will receive complimentary access to an evidence‑based brain health platform that supports concussion recovery, brain health education, mental wellness, and guided recovery alongside existing medical care and return‑to‑play protocols.

This initiative strengthens concussion management across the province and provides athletes and families with additional tools to support wellbeing throughout the season. Participation is voluntary and completely free for athletes, families, and associations.

The first‑ever Halifax Flag Football League kicks off this fall , built for athletes who want real competition, real structure, and a real league experience.

What to expect:

🔵Olympic‑style 5v5 play
🔵Certified referees
🔵Standings + player statistics
🔵Full playoff format
🔵A true league atmosphere for serious competitors

Who can join:

🔵Ages 18+, all genders
🔵Teams and individuals welcome
🔵No roster cap (recommended 7–10 players)

Season details:

🔵8 games + playoffs
🔵Weeknight games between 8–11 PM (occasional weekends)
🔵Fields: BMO Soccer Centre, plus East Coast Varsity & East Hants Sportsplex

Season starts Sept 16, 2026

Football Nova Scotia is now accepting coaching applications for the 2027 Provincial Flag Football season. These teams will represent Nova Scotia at the 2027 Football Canada National Flag Football Championships in PEI.

Please send application form and coaching resume to Bryce Fisher ([email protected]) indicating which team and coaching position (head coach, coordinator, position coach) that interests you.

NOTE: Applicants must fill out application form and send coaching resume to be considered for a coaching position. Please be sure to read all information regarding application process.
