Nova Scotia is strongest when we invest in everyone. Yet recent provincial budget decisions have raised deep concern across communities in our province. Programs supporting Indigenous organizations, Black/African Nova Scotian communities, arts & culture, disability groups, and all forms of community-based social programs that support those already experiencing poverty and social marginalization have had their budgets reduced or completely destabilized. Organizations across our province continue to face uncertainty, hard decisions, and real-world impacts.
AccessNow NS stands in solidarity with the organizations and communities affected. These programs are essential social infrastructure that keep people and communities safe, connected, and supported.
