Giora Zinger brings his sharp, heartfelt stand-up comedy to Winnipeg with a brand-new show. In his performance, he talks about growing up in a Russian-speaking home, life in Israel, relationships, parents, and the moment you realize you’ve become one yourself.

With warmth, charisma, and smart humor, Giora takes the audience back to childhood and everyday family life. This is a clever, respectful stand-up performance with refined language — relatable, thoughtful, and genuinely funny.

The performance is in Hebrew.

UNraveling UNRWA
Germany-Israel | 2025 |75 minutes |
English-Hebrew-Arabic with English subtitles

Directed by Duki Dror the film examines the 75-year history of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), founded to assist Palestinian refugees after the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
In the wake of the October 7 attacks and allegations involving UNRWA staff, the documentary revisits long-standing criticisms of the organization’s structure. Drawing on rare archival material, insider testimony, and contrasting viewpoints, the film explores how the agency evolved into a large and controversial institution. It unravels new and surprising insights, offering an inside look at the only UN agency dedicated to a single group of people.
• Jury Award for Best Documentary, Paris Israeli Film Festival

May 4 - 8, DOUBLE your impact for Hillel Atlantic !

Dear Atlantic Jewish Communities,

We are a few days away from the start of the seventh annual Hillel Global Giving Week!

At Hillel Atlantic, we see every day how much Jewish students rely on us as a second home—a place to lead, to learn, and to be their authentic selves.

Hillel isn't just an extracurricular; it’s essential for Jewish life on campus and, for many students, a testing ground and launchpad for the Jewish leaders they will grow into beyond college. The need for a consistent, strong Jewish community on college campuses has never been greater, and your support is our foundation. Whether it’s a Shabbat dinner, a leadership retreat, or a quiet space to study, your generosity makes critical moments of connection, self-discovery, and Jewish joy possible for Jewish Students.

Starting Monday, May 4th, you have a unique chance to make your support go further. This week only, your donation to Hillel Atlantic will be matched/doubled up to $2000. That’s twice the Shabbat meals, twice the mentorship, and twice the impact.

Are you ready to stand with Hillel Atlantic? Amplify your impact during one of the most powerful times to show your support for Jewish students at Hillel Atlantic. Keep an eye on your inbox to see what we can achieve together.

With gratitude,
Ran Ben Shabat
Hillel Atlantic Director

Today at a livestream of the Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemoration from the National Holocaust Monument, we honour the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and all those who suffered under N**i persecution.

Together we will bear witness, reflect, and reaffirm our shared commitment to remembrance, Holocaust education, and the prevention of hatred in all its forms.
