Join us on Tuesday, March 10th at noon at Province House in Halifax (1726 Hollis Street) for an intersectional rally with all community groups and departments affected by the provincial budget cuts!

Community care note:
Police have been present at the rallies. We ask that we keep together, care for each other, and care for the safety of those most at risk of police violence.

Like many arts and culture organizations across Nova Scotia, the Halifax Fringe is reeling from news of sector-altering cuts to Communities, Culture, Tourism and Heritage.

These cuts have the potential to “devastate a generation of artists, arts organizations, industries, and workers across the province,” says the Nova Scotia Arts Coalition.

For us, it means a 30% reduction in our provincial operating funds, as well as losing access to several crucial project funding streams which are being entirely eliminated. For many others, these cuts mean the loss of jobs, programming, and much more.

Now is the time to take action!
