Our event would not be possible without the dedication of our incredible volunteers. The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause. Thanks to the commitment and passion of our volunteers, we continue to fund life-changing research and vital support programs for those impacted by breast cancer.

On November 27th, we hosted a special supporter appreciation event for our CIBC Run for the Cure community at the Canadian Cancer Society Lodge That Gives in Halifax.

Guests enjoyed a mocktail bar with non-alcoholic spirits from and curated hors-d'œuvres from the lodge's own Chef Adam Hayley, while connecting with fellow supporters. The evening featured a series of inspiring mission and impact sessions, including:
🏃🏽‍♀️ A conversation on Cancer Strategy and Innovation with Robert Howlett.
💇‍♀️ An overview of CCS Advocacy and Prevention efforts by hosted by Heather Mulligan.
🔬 A talk by CCS-funded researcher, and senior epidemiologist, Dr. Nathalie Saint-Jaques, MSc, PhD.
💖 A powerful story shared by Danielle Smith — passionate advocate, breast cancer survivor, and dedicated supporter.
🏠 A tour of our lodge facility.

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the impact we’re making together. Your support helps fuel progress and hope for Canadians affected by breast cancer.
