That’s why WellTide Health will have child minding services available, free to anyone who has booked an appointment in the building.

Ending the week with a special staff spotlight: Kim Hirtle

Kim is a passionate advocate of Partners for Care – she works tirelessly to research, design and execute all our signature programs and projects.

As our Project and Program Coordinator, Kim is responsible for oh so many things, including our Feel Good Days initiative and the OPT program – you may have seen her friendly face during one of our recent pop-up events in partnership with Cyclesmith!

Outside of PFC working hours, Kim loves volunteering, travelling, making crafts, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Thanks for all that you do, Kim – we couldn’t imagine our team without you. 💗

Would you like to get to know Partners for Care a little better? Staff at Nova Scotia Health know us for our OPT program, which offers sustainable ways to get to work and find parking. But here are a few things you might not know about us!

❤ We run Feel Good Days, a program we run with Shoppers Drug Mart providing a mini spa day to patients at the Abby J Lane

❤ We partnered with the wonderful folks at Touch Coffee to provide NS Health staff with a coffee bar in the Dickson Building lobby to fuel their long shifts

❤ Our biggest project to date is, of course, WellTide Health, a 45,000 sq ft holistic health and wellness facility that will be serving Lunenburg County and surrounding areas, which opens later this year thanks to Lindsay Construction, RCS Construction. Did you know that May is National Physiotherapy Month in Canada?

Led by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and provincial branches – for us, Nova Scotia Physiotherapy Association - this annual campaign celebrates the role of physiotherapists play in preventing injuries, managing chronic pain, promoting rehabilitation, and enhancing quality of life for Canadians.

A new era of community-centred healthcare is coming to Lunenburg County. Partners for Care is proud to lead WellTide Health – a holistic health and wellness hub designed to bring healthcare providers, wellness services, and community supports together under one roof in Osprey Village.

Opening later this year, WellTide Health is creating a collaborative environment where care is connected, accessible, and centred around the needs of Nova Scotians.

We’re currently seeking healthcare and wellness providers across Nova Scotia interested in leasing opportunities within this modern 45,000 sq. ft. facility. Providers will have the opportunity to grow alongside like-minded professionals in a collaborative, community-focused space.

Last week was a big one for Nova Scotia Health staff, with the launch of OPOR. Thanks to everyone who took a minute to stop by the OPT Program Cycling pop-ups at the VG on Tuesday and Thursday.

PFC and Halifax Regional Municipality Transportation Demand Management team were on-site to offer cycling information, OPT swag, snacks, and a chance to win prizes!

Want in on an inside joke? We’re wearing matching tees because we call ourselves the “Unicorn League” – we may be a small team but we’re all passionate about what we do, bring a unique set of skills to the team, and love working together. That’s a rare combination!

As a nonprofit that works remotely, we jump at any chance to get the full team together for an afternoon. ❤
