Happy June, community!! Not to mention the inconsistency in weather, but on this deceivingly beautiful June 1st, we’re so happy to share about our next book sale fundraiser 📚

Once again, our friends are hosting us in their outside space 🫶 on Saturday, June 20 from 10AM to 4PM

We’re also collecting your well taken care of, good condition (pls) books (no textbooks or anything like that) at the cafe or in the North End (DM to arrange a drop off for this option)

We’re also looking for a new team member/team members to join us in the role of ✨treasurer✨! This role would ideally be shared with 2 individuals depending on the interest expressed. Swipe for more info, and send an email to:

As treasurers, you don’t need prior finance experience, but can expect to:

- track expenses (in, out, grant $ tracking and management)
- update finance tracking spreadsheets
- organize weekly receipts from hygiene and grocery shops
- be the primary cashbox holder and track pettycash
- reconcile bank account with weekly transactions

As a shopping volunteer, access to a vehicle is helpful and convenient! You can also expect to:

- depending on the grocer, shop for groceries in-person
- organize items and trash disposal where needed
- pick up weekly / bi-weekly grocery shops
- drop off grocery shops to the fridge / pantry
- select and place online grocery orders
- submit receipts from shops for tracking purposes

SIGGGHHH! The high winds yesterday unfortunately left us a little banged up again.

We’ll be looking to replace the left-hand door fully but need a bit of time to figure things out!

This is one of the freshly carved stamps you can use at our fundraiser THIS Wed, March 18 from 7 to 9 PM 💌

We’ll still have all you need for your patches, but we’re also inviting folks to BYOS (bring your own stamps/stencils).

Printmaking is such a fun art form to experiment with, and you’d be surprised by how many ✨hidden-stamp-potentials✨ you might have lying around, like plastic forks, LEGO blocks, dice, plant materials, and more! 🍴☘️🎲🍂

We’re hosting a craft night fundraiser on March 18! We’d love for you to join to create your own hand-printed patches and support the fridge. Check out the details below:

➡️Materials provided (stamps, textiles, ink — we aren’t making the stamps themselves)

💰$10 to $20 sliding scale price to RSVP

➡️ we have these cleaning shifts to fill: Mon AM, Tues AM & PM, Wed AM & PM, Thurs AM, Fri AM, Sat PM, Sun AM & PM

➡️ cleaning shifts help upkeep fridge maintenance. you can expect to sanitize surfaces, organize items, dispose of trash, make note of the fridge and structure’s condition, etc.

➡️ exact times are flexible and based on your availability
