Our Reconciliation with HeART Challenge Badges are back!

Created by Indigenous volunteers for Guides, Scouts and youth groups, Reconciliation with HeART was developed through a trauma-informed and strengths-based lens to help young people learn about Indigenous peoples, cultures, reconciliation and allyship.

One of the most important parts of the challenge is encouraging youth to learn about and celebrate Indigenous culture, community, knowledge and resiliency not only Indigenous trauma.

You can find a copy of the challenge here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/12R-ftCWjeC4QuF1Ull2nm_Da54OHYTP4Cu8GTwcKtOM/edit?usp=sharing

The challenge can be used around dates such as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Treaty Day and Mi’kmaw History Month, Red Dress Day, and National Indigenous Peoples Day but reconciliation and meaningful allyship aren't limited to one day, month, or activity.

We are so excited to have the badges available again and to continue seeing youth groups take part in Reconciliation with HeART.

Something is Coming This Fall 👀🍁

Something we have been asked to do for the past five years!
We are finally offering it! A personal development opportunity for adults!
And the best part it will help us fund our youth programming for the coming year

Apparently, caring about youth mental wellness is kinda chic. 💅🏽

Creating spaces where young people can make a mess, be creative, build friendships, practice mindfulness, take the lead, and just be themselves?

Very chic, actually.

At HeART, we believe supporting young people doesn’t always have to look clinical. Sometimes it looks like paint-covered tables, ridiculous amounts of craft supplies, snacks, laughter, trying something new, and having a community where you know you belong.

We’ve been doing things a little differently since 2019 and apparently, we’ve been chic this whole time.

Want to join on our adventures this school year? We have registration open now for all ages!
