There's more than one way to support local businesses. :)

Are you a local business owner? We're looking to add a couple more people to our board. Why? Because we've been busy and many hands make light work.

Here's what the St. Elias Chamber of Commerce has been up to recently:
- Policy and advocacy work, including active involvement in the Coalition of Yukon Chambers (on issues like the Yukon Nominee Program, energy, the investment climate, and more.)
- The Content Creator Project, where local businesses can be featured on Gohainesjunction social media channels
- The J-Bucks/Dakwäkäda Danā program
- Member access to the Chambers Insurance Plan
- Support letters for our members applying to the government (for various things)

The forecast is for another record-breaking summer for Canadian tourism. Whether you’re excited, nervous, or busy preparing, you're invited to Yukon Government's Tourism Reconnects event to touch base and head into the season feeling prepared.

The goal is simple: Get the VIC staff and local operators in the same room so everyone is in the know about the ins and outs of the upcoming season. Nothing formal, just a chance to chat and reconnect over complimentary catering.

When: May 12th from 5:30-7:30pm
Where: Da Kų Cultural Centre/Haines Junction Visitor Information Centre.
What: Networking, local updates, and light appetizers

Statistics Canada is hiring:
- Multiple enumerators (interviewers) who will work between 20 and 40 hours from May to July and earn $25.87 per hour.
- Crew leaders who will supervise a team of up to 18 interviewers and work full time from April to July and earn $31.32/hour.
