NIHB Coverage of Braces

NIHB will cover braces when there’s a severe misalignment that affects:
• Biting
• Chewing
• Eating
• Breathing
• Talking
• Pain levels

Check with your orthodontist before they submit a claim to confirm your braces are medically necessary. NIHB does not cover braces for cosmetic reasons.
