We all thrive when volunteers across Nova Scotia lend their time to champion quality of life.

DYK it’s Volunteer Recognition Week in Nova Scotia?

This is an opportunity to highlight and acknowledge the volunteers, partner organizations, and municipalities that have been ensuring the Nova Scotia Quality of Life Survey reaches every corner of the province. Nova Scotians are directly influencing changes to improve wellbeing for everyone. This is possible because at the heart of it all, Nova Scotians care deeply.

To our neighbors and community members,
We’re excited to launch a new social media campaign focused on reducing stigma and building understanding around homelessness, housing insecurity, and poverty in our local community. At the heart of this work is a simple belief: everyone deserves dignity, respect, and care.

Throughout this campaign, we’ll be sharing facts, statistics, and helpful resources to raise awareness about the realities of homelessness in our area- including the different types of housing available and the gaps that exist within current services. Our goal is to challenge common misconceptions and encourage informed, compassionate conversations.

We invite you to follow along, engage with our posts, ask questions, and be part of the discussion as we learn and grow together as a community.

Thank you for being here. Stay tuned for more!

Sincerely,

A Roof Over Your Head staff
