NEHM is home of ADOPT-A-WEEK program that encourages donors to
help sustain the market for $1500.00 a week. The North End Harvest market is a program of the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition and is a Free fruit and vegetable market, intended to support families and individuals experiencing food insecurity meet their healthy food needs. The Market is open on Wednesday nights from 4:30 to 6:

- Waverley Drive School at 140 Waverley Drive - Portable # 6. Families and individuals can register with your name - proof of address including postal codes and phone number to qualify. Although the market is open every week, registrants can come every second week. Primary funding for the Market is the ADOPT - A - WEEK program where donors can adopt a week of the market for a cost of $1500.00 (which is the market budget). For this donation, a corporation, company, service club, family unit, etc. will be able to pick a week to donate, volunteer on that day to see where their money is going and we will put together a promotion package including a photo op with the big cheque. To ADOPT - A - WEEK or to make donations,
Cheques can be made out to the Guelph Neighbourhood Support Coalition with the tag line - NEHM and dropped off or mailed to Brendan Johnson at 42 Carden Street, (10C-Shared Space) Guelph, Ontario N1H 3A2 or dropped off at the North End Harvest Market at 140 Waverley Drive - Portable # 6 - small parking lot of Waverley Drive Public School. on Tuesdays or Wednesdays between 10:00 a.m. Online Donations

Ribfest is coming up and the North End Harvest Market is looking for 8 to 10 volunteers to join Team Harvey. Your job would be to help clean off tables,(aprons and gloves are provided) pick up garbage (they have grippers and gloves to provide) and monitor the re-cycle stations (helping people to sort the garbage properly. With your support - the NEHM will make $300.00. Our shift is booked for Friday night - August 28th, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Students can get school hours and all are welcome. This will be our 5th year and I enjoy the smell of barbecue in the air, the people, entertainment and the food, especially - the lemonade and the bloomin onion. Oh ya and the ribs and cornbread are amazing. See less
