Operation BeeStrong has been developed to build an enduring community rooted in shared purpose and mutual support, where every individual, First Responders, Veterans, CAF personnel, and other trauma-exposed professionals, can find belonging, well-being, and a renewed mission in the simple, powerful act of stewardship through beekeeping. This cause is not to simply teach beekeeping; it is to create a hive of purpose that will stand strong long after our lifetimes. It is a cause with one mentor, one mentee, and one hive at a time.

Operation BeeStrong has a waitlist of first responders and serving military members currently signed up and eager to learn about beekeeping in a hands-on environment next spring, but they lack a mentor to guide them.

They need experienced local beekeepers to step up.

Why start now?

Even though the hives are wrapped, this is the perfect time to connect. They have a private online community with learning resources you can share with your mentee to get them up to speed before the busy spring season hits.

The Logistics:
Low Time Commitment: A few hours a month, if that.
No Gear Required: They can provide some equipment for the mentee.
Role: You aren't a therapist; you're a beekeeper. Share your knowledge of the craft—that provides the purpose they are looking for.
Help clear the waitlist and get these folks into the bee yard.
The payoff: You have some hands to help in the yard over the season and are making a massive difference in someone's life.

To help:

We're building Operation BeeStrong to give First Responders and Veterans a place to find belonging through doing.
One mentor, one mentee, and one hive at a time.
