✨ Community in action in Elora! ✨

We were thrilled to welcome 100 Women Who Care Centre Wellington to our Elora office to celebrate an incredible $12,400 donation to the Children First Fund’s Youth Transition Program. 💙

This generous gift will support over 60 youth (ages 16–22) as they transition out of care and into independent living — helping them with essential items like household supplies, furniture, and everything needed to create a safe, stable start.

At Family and Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County, we see firsthand how critical this stage is. When community steps up like this, it helps young people move forward with confidence and dignity.

What makes this group so special? It’s more than generosity — it’s the energy, connection, and passion in the room. Our team has had the privilege of attending their meetings, and it truly feels like a community united in care and impact. 💫

Thank you, 100 Women Who Care Centre Wellington, for standing with local youth and making a difference where it’s needed most.

🌿✨ June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, a powerful time to honour and celebrate the enduring legacy, vibrant cultures, and profound contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. This month is not only a celebration but also an important moment for reflection within the child welfare sector. Recognizing the historical and ongoing impacts of colonialism is vital to achieving truth and reconciliation. By acknowledging Indigenous histories and strengths, we strive to create more inclusive and supportive environments for Indigenous children and families. As we journey through this month, leading up to National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21, let’s embrace this opportunity to educate ourselves, amplify Indigenous voices, and work towards a future where every child is cherished and supported within their cultural identity. 🍃✨
