Living in Guelph for university? Wondering whether you’re eligible to vote, what ID you need, or where to go?

We’ve put together a quick, nonpartisan guide to help you find the information you need! 🌱

• Advance voting: October 10–18
• Election Day: Monday, October 26, 10 AM–8 PM

đź“Ť VOTING ON CAMPUS
University Centre — Main Floor Student Lounge

October 16: 10 AM–7 PM
October 17–18: 10 AM–6 PM

Eligible Guelph voters from any ward can vote at the University Centre during advance voting.

🪪 WHAT TO BRING
Acceptable identification showing your name and qualifying Guelph address. Students living in residence can access a proof-of-address letter through the University’s Housing Portal.

📋 NOT ON THE VOTERS’ LIST?
You can update or add your information in person at City Hall or a polling location.

SPEED RIVER & ERAMOSA RIVER SHORE CLEANUP! 💧🌿

Join OPIRG Guelph’s Speed River Project and the Ducks Unlimited Canada Campus Club for a Shoreline Cleanup along the Speed and Eramosa Rivers! 

Come spend an afternoon outdoors, meet fellow nature lovers, and make a positive impact on our local ecosystem. We will provide cleaning supplies, just bring a water bottle and be ready to make a difference!

Event will be led by Alexis Burnett, a naturalist, tracker, herbalist, wilderness skills practitioner, and canoe guide based out of Grey County. He runs Earth Tracks Outdoor School, which aims to connect people with nature and traditional outdoor skills. He also holds a professional-level Track & Sign certification through CyberTracker North America. We look forward to seeing y'all there!

Project Serve at Hanlon’s Park! 🌲

On September 19th, around 40 volunteers came together with OPIRG Guelph’s Speed River Project to plant native trees and shrubs, remove invasive species, and help restore the park’s habitat.

A huge thank you to all our amazing volunteers, Kiran and the Speed River Project, and the City of Guelph for making the event possible!

Every tree planted today helps build a healthier forest for tomorrow.

"Once flowing through nearly every developed city in the world, rivers provided the infrastructure upon which modern metropolises were built. In this adventurous and revelatory look into the disappearance and recent resurfacing of these historic waterways, Lost Rivers leads us down the drain into vast underground museums of urban development. Guiding us through the hidden river networks of London, Brescia (Italy), Montreal and Toronto, intrepid groups of subterranean explorers known as “drainers” reveal the buried waterways that house the secrets of each city’s past."
