The Fellowship Membership as a Fellowship Baptist Church is always a dual membership with both a Fellowship Region and Fellowship National.

The Fellowship is a denomination of approximately 500 Evangelical Baptist Churches scattered across Canada, from the Yukon to the tip of Nova Scotia, united through our faith in Christ — working nationally and beyond our borders. The Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada is a movement of approximately 500 local churches committed to common values
and mission, and connected by a Statement of Faith and Bylaws.

Spiritual growth is not a seasonal experience. It doesn't, or shouldn't, go into hibernation for the winter. While our growth as congregations and individuals may adjust with the seasons, spiritual growth must be continual and flourishing. Building good habits to support spiritual growth, breaking out of those periods of stagnation, and seeing transformation take place are key. Veteran pastor and Fellowship author Darryl Dash offers us some important resources to help. Both books are available on Amazon in print and digital versions.

My name is Jo-Ann Lesage and I would like to introduce you to the “Projet Rassasié” (Project Satiated) Ministry. I have been serving there as a volunteer chaplain for five years, and Mrs. Bourassa, a sister in our Trois-Rivières Baptist Church, is in charge of food services. In the spring and summer, we offer the homeless hot dogs from the BBQ, along with cold drinks, chips, and desserts, and we also give each person a loaf of bread donated by a local bakery. In the fall and winter, we cook macaroni with vegetables and meat for them, along with a homemade dessert. When people arrive at the park, we give them coffee. As a chaplain, I tell them about Jesus, who is gentle and humble, and I pray that our Heavenly Father may draw them to Himself.

I leave you with this beautiful verse: “With long life I (God) will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” Psalm 91:16 (NIV)

Once upon a time, long, long ago, there was a man who fell into bad ways. His choices took him to prison—not as a visitor or an employee, but as an inmate. But God wasn't done with him yet! His name is Donald Whiteside (he recently celebrated his 100th birthday) and his journey took him, and his family, to unexpected places—impossible places that he never should have gone to except by the grace of God. Read some of Don's story in the Fellowship Archives October blog post.

“Mr. Fellowship”
The Life, Ministry and Legacy of Roy W. Lawson
The pivotal impact that Dr. Roy Lawson had on the Fellowship of
Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada (fellowship.ca) in the latter half
of the twentieth century cannot be overstated. Indeed, Roy was
sometimes called “Mr. Fellowship”!

Converted in his late teens, Roy entered London Bible Institute in
1950 to train to be a pastor. His first pastorate was a four-point charge
in Grey County, Ontario. He married Joan Barton in 1955, and they
went on to have three sons.
Roy’s ministry took him to pastorates in Tillsonburg, Strathroy,
London and—later in life—Sarnia. He also served in various roles within
the Fellowship: as national youth director and then as general
secretary. He also was director of Muskoka Baptist Conference.
Roy Lawson was undoubtedly at the centre of Fellowship life for
many years. With his booming voice and larger-than-life presence, he
was often used of God to come along both his congregants and fellow
pastors, often as a mentor or friend. His contacts and relationships
within the Fellowship meant he played a key role in providing
institutional direction, promoting unity and facilitating restoration.

“Mr. Fellowship” never lost his sense of the grace of God in his own
salvation and worked tirelessly to promote the gospel throughout
Canada. Roy left a mark on many lives and ministries, and this book
honours his remarkable legacy.

Wallie and Frank Danbrook served for many years together as chaplains in the L'Ascension-de-Notre-Seigneur area of Quebec. While Frank has stepped back from formal chaplaincy ministry, Wallie continues to provide administrative support to our chaplaincy ministry in Quebec. We are so grateful for her servant’s heart and willingness to help us out in this way. Pray that God would continue to bless this couple and continue to use them in their area of Quebec.
