Remember Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, Congo, and more
And begin to dismantle the colonial system by looking after each other at home.

Your Downtown Guelph Friends is an amazing organization and a great way to get involved with your unhoused neighbours.
This week has been filled with heavy hearts and challenging moments for our community. We gathered to honour our members who have tragically passed over the last two weeks, including two lives lost to opioid poisoning on Friday. Our hearts ache with each loss, but together, we remember and celebrate their lives.
We extend our gratitude to the thoughtful individual who sent flowers for our youngest community member taken too soon; we passed these on to the family, offering a small gesture of love in their time of grief.
Thank you to our community for the love you've shown not only to those weāve lost but to each other. Your compassion and strength continue to lift us all up. We are grateful to Bang for coming out and providing supports for our team, the loved ones of our departed community members, and all those impacted by these tragic losses.
To our dedicated team, thank you for bringing nourishment to this grieving community with a delicious burrito bowl, complete with guacamole, salsa, and more. Special thanks to Community FEWD for your contributions. It wasn't easy today, but you showed up, even in the face of your own sorrow.
We also extend our deepest thanks to Church of the Apostles for generously providing us with space, a support that has been crucial in making our work possible. To St. Andrew's Church and our other partners for donating socks, and to each and every one of our donors and supportersāthank you. Your kindness, trust, and generosity are the lifeblood of this community. You have empowered us to reach out, to care, and to support those who need it most.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to all who have been impacted by these losses. If anyone needs support or someone to lean on, please donāt hesitate to reach outāwe are here for you.
We are especially grateful to those who work tirelessly to fight against stigma, extend kindness, and show compassion. Your empathy and strength light the way forward, reminding us all of the profound impact we can have when we choose understanding over judgement.
In times like these, we remember that community is not just a word; itās a force that binds us, even in our darkest days.
