In May, we saw 35 people move into permanent housing! 🏡

• 22 from our Family Shelter
• 8 diverted from the community
• 4 from our Housing-Focused Shelter
• 1 from our Emergency Overnight Shelter

On May 27th, we were thrilled to welcome volunteers from Linamar, the University of Guelph, and United Way for Day of Caring at Grace Gardens 💙☀️

Together, they spent the day helping improve our outdoor space through weeding, gardening, spreading mulch, and even putting together a new basketball net for the community to enjoy.

This also marks the second year United Way has brought volunteers out to Grace Gardens, and we are so grateful for their continued support and partnership.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to help make Grace Gardens an even more welcoming space for our community!

Last week, we hosted our very first Grace Gardens BBQ of the year!☀️💙⁠

It was a wonderful opportunity to bring staff and tenants together to share a meal, connect, and enjoy the beautiful sunshine. Moments like these remind us how important community, conversation, and simple acts of togetherness can be.⁠

Grace Gardens is proud to be one of their satellite sites, offering our tenants a “shop yourself” food bank experience twice each month. This model helps create choice, dignity, and access to essential food supports for the people we serve.

Our Fundraising & Marketing Specialist and Community Development Worker had the opportunity to attend GiveCon 2026, and came back inspired, energized, and full of new ideas 💙

From innovative fundraising strategies to meaningful conversations about community impact, the conference offered so many valuable insights that we’re excited to bring back to Stepping Stone. We’re grateful for the chance to learn alongside passionate changemakers who are all working toward stronger, more connected communities.
