We’re Hiring a Part-Time Market Attendant!

10C is currently seeking a motivated and collaborative Market Attendant to join the team in a part-time capacity (up to 10 hours per week).

This role is for you if you enjoy working directly with a diversity of people and contributing behind the scenes to achieve a responsive, welcoming and well functioning market environment. The Market Attendant reports to the Market Lead and works with a small team to facilitate the Saturday operation of the Guelph Farmers’ Market.

At 10C, we are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, respected, and supported. We encourage applications from people across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, disability, and lived experience.

Welcome to the Food Uniting Neighbours (f.u.n.) Westmount Garden! 🌱💚

This garden is truly a labour of love. With 21 in-ground beds, 11 raised beds, and approximately 54 varieties of crops, it provides fresh food, connection, and a place for neighbours to grow together. Each season, 30–35 households benefit from what the garden produces.

Community gardens are about more than growing food. They create opportunities for people to connect, share knowledge, build relationships, and increase access to fresh, locally grown produce. 🌿

f.u.n. is one of the many community projects supported by 10C. It's a grassroots collective of people who live, work, study, and/or play in Guelph and Centre Wellington, led by 22 Community Advisors, faculty and students from the University of Guelph's Applied Human Nutrition program, and staff from 10C Shared Space.

Call for Handy Person Volunteers! 🔨

10C is in search of awesome humans to volunteer their time this fall to support 42 Carden Street with a few handyperson tasks.

We have light construction, painting, tile work, plus some building of shelves and organizing our basement tool and cleaning rooms! We're looking for detail orientated humans that love labelling and creating systems to keep things organized. If you love heritage buildings and connecting with community, we have a whole bunch of fun projects to support community members.

Last week the folks from Guelph Bug Day gathered in the Nourish Kitchen to make 500 cricket cookies using food grade cricket flour! 🦗🍪 From mixing and baking to packing up each batch, the kitchen was buzzing with activity as they prepared chocolate chip cricket cookies for their event. It's always exciting to see the Nourish Kitchen bring creative ideas to life!

Looking for a space to cook, bake, or grow your food business? Located on the fourth floor of 10C, the Nourish Kitchen is a shared, public health-inspected commercial kitchen available for hourly, weekly, and ongoing private event bookings.
