Maze Project

Maze Project The Maze Project Who might you meet in that maze? (check - we've got one!)

-garden ornaments and plants? This project is COMMUNITY ORIENTED.

At Faery Fest's Enchanted Ground, we strive to create a place of fantasy and wonder - a place where you can suspend disbelief and live in a place of magic. The Maze Project is a very new piece of this puzzle...

Imagine, if you will, a huge maze that sprawls across the field in Riverside Park big and complex enough that you could even get lost in it for a time! What kinds of perils or obstacles mi

ght you overcome?

-A gargoyle with a ferocious exterior, but a warm motherly heart? (check, thank you Royal City Nursery!)

-A secluded Tea Pavillion for the Queens of Enchanted GRound (check, got it)

-Maybe in the future: Goblin puppets? Secret Puzzle Doors that open areas to the craftiest of adventurers? Characters that offer strange wisdoms ... or failing that candy! Well weren't not quite huge enough to sprawl and lose adventurers. This is how the maze can become HUGE:

-Everyone is invited to help build, paint, and erect the Maze at Enchanted Ground.

-Businesses can sponsor a maze panel that will carry their logo for 3 years.

-Community Groups can start their own mini maze project for their events, and then bring their pieces to Enchanted Ground to create the biggest life sized Maze in Ontario - North America - maybe even the world (insert maniacal laughter "mwwuuuhhahahhaaha"). Ok, someone slap that laughing evil wizard...

In short, this Maze will grow and change every year becoming better, bigger, and more interesting with your help. Show your support on this page, and we will keep you updated about how you can be involved in this amazing group art project!

We'll be working on painting clear coats on the panels this Saturday IF the weather turns against the forecast and becomes nice! If it's good, we'll be working from noon until dinner time. Call if you're interested in helping this Saturday, or if you have time in the week (we will be out there all week). Home: 519-824-2362 or if we're outside working, you can reach Glenn's Cell: 519-830-2362.

I have been working with College Heights Students in the past few months. They have created 20 more maze panels with fantabulous designs including dragons, faeries, wizards, castles, a barbarian, even a Jesus! I will post pictures of this great experience when they come. THIS WEEKEND, you can view their panels built into a small maze in the cafeteria of College Heights School at their annual Spring Fair!
