Guelph Jazz Festival The Guelph Jazz Festival is an annual event that presents creative, improvised music.

Spearheaded by Ajay Heble, the Guelph Jazz Festival was founded in 1994 by a group of friends who shared a love of creative improvised music and a commitment to Guelph. The Festival has consistently garnered praise from local, national, and international critics for its great programming. Ajay Heble retired as Artistic Director in 2016; Scott Thomson was hired to replace him in early 2017.

Many thanks to our ever enthusiastic MPP, Mike Schreiner, for joining us for a reception to celebrate this year’s Guelph Jazz Festival and Colloquium.

Mike’s presence allowed us the opportunity to publicly acknowledge ongoing support for our festival from the Ontario Arts Council | Conseil des arts de l’Ontario in a meaningful way.

If you missed it, you've got all of today to join us in downtown Guelph starting off with our Community Parade gathering at 11:30 am at Freshfield and Farquar behind the Guelph Farmers' Market. Accessibility at Guelph Jazz Festival ---

Both Royal City Mission and Guelph Youth Music Centre are accessible venues. In this video you can learn how to enter Royal City Mission via the accessible entrance located at the back of the building.

We are working towards a more accessible and inclusive festival which is why we have sliding scale presale tickets and a PWYC option at the door, as well as some free programming on Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

If you would like support during the festival you can find a support form as well as more information about accessibility on our website.
