We provide support, information and resources to pregnant and parenting teens (between the ages of 14 and 21). We have a monthly calendar outlining our group activities and special events that you can pick up or have mailed to your home. We provide groups for Moms only, dads only and we also h
ave the option for partners to participate together. Parenting skills and life skills: At our group, you will learn about caring for your children and yourself. You will have the opportunity to talk about the challenges and joys of being a parent and ask questions in an open and safe environment. Speakers from various backgrounds join us and present on different topics related to parenting and life skills. Speakers come from all areas of the community to support you to make decisions in areas such as housing, school, employment and relationships. Community Resources: Although we are not associated with any other community group, we can make referrals and help you get to know the people and agencies in our community that are here to support young parents. Creating a healthy and active lifestyle for your growing family: You have the option to become a member of the YMCA-YWCA of Guelph where you can participate in the Health, Fitness and Recreation programs we offer - including swim lessons for your child!
