CAM Young Roots Farm is set up at Camp Amy Molson in the foothills of the Laurentians in Grenville-sur-la-rouge, QC. Using ecologically-inspired methods to produce food, we nurture youth to connect to the land that provides for us. Nestled in the forest amidst lakes and streams, we serve as an inspiring educational grounds for urban youth from Montreal to Ottawa and everything in between.

The season is upon us! We're so happy to be sharing greenhouse space with the wonderful .arc at the greenhouse.

Most people guessed right on our poll yesterday, we started our peppers, tomatoes and onions! We also started okra and a flower that we're excited to make tea from later this summer... any guesses as to what it is? Hint: 🌺🌺🌺

Seeds hold so much beauty and possibility within them. We're happy that it's the time of year to start sowing again!

On this bleak winter day, we’re thinking about all the different colours we get to see at the farm! Feeling grateful for all the different colors that the valley which holds and has to offer.

Soon the farm team will be up at camp, getting the land ready for a summer full of fun with the kids! Scroll to the end for a sneak peek of some things we might be growing this year 😉

The Young Roots Farm team would like to invite you to our 13th Annual Harvest Festival: Corn the Roasting XIII

The Harvest Festival is an event that happens every year where parents, campers, community members, other any other curious being can visit the farm in the fall to celebrate the harvest through fun activities, good food, and socializing! Lunch will be provided, there will also be a free raffle, and our farm stand selling produce, plants, seeds and products from the farm.

Happening at Camp Amy Molson on Sunday, September 28 from 11:30am - 2:30pm, this is an event you don’t want to miss! There is free transportation from Westmount High School (10am departure), or you can drive to 1 Boyd Concession, Argenteuil, QC.

A huge thank you to our friends over at for lending us Goggles, Banana and Burger King for the summer! Our campers are SO thrilled to get to care for the sheep, sing to them every morning and learn all about animal care and sheep behavior. Our neighbors at Champs qui Chantent have supported our farm project for over a decade!! They've hosted our staff and campers at their farm, are always quick to supply us with great advice and lend us specialized tools, as well as occasionally supply some extra produce for our canned goods. Community and collaboration are at the heart of our project, and Ferme Aux Champs qui Chantent has consistently shown up and supported us over the years! We are beyond grateful to have such amazing neighbors down the road from us 💜💜💜
