Please take a moment and vote for Project Impact Sudbury's 2024 little community projects. We'd love for you to choose ours, the cultural HERBOLOGY GARDEN where youth and families will plant their cultural herbs and learn about cultivating, cooking and drying methods. And that wraps up "Let's Get Growing!" for 4-H club members. Congrats on completing your garden project! The participants learned about the basics of soil vs dirt, completed soil experiments involving soil health and temperature, completed a bean germination activity and planted the community garden for Youth Food Security - shared harvest program. They also learned about plant characteristics like peas are a cold crop whereas beans prefer warm soil; tomatoes can be planted much deeper than you think and are heavy feeders; curcubits will spread a long distance; and reasons to use the "Trench & Hill" method for potatoes! 4-H Ontario
