SCOPE OF PRACTICE
The Sudbury Manitoulin Abortion Support Collective is a non-partisan, 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive organization of volunteers aiming to provide confidential, free support and advocacy for persons in need of abortion in the Greater Sudbury and Manitoulin Island district to ensure full access. We are located in Robinson-Huron Treaty territory and the land on which we gather is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg. There are many barriers in the current Canadian healthcare system which actively prevent and hinder those who require abortions. We want to ease that burden.
Thank you to Shannon Hardy with Abortion Support Services Atlantic for training and support. VALUES
We value and respect all cultures, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities and expressions. We want to be as welcoming as we can be and provide a barrier-free experience for all persons in need of abortion. Our volunteers are 2SLGBTQSIA+ affirming and respectful of all cultural and religious traditions and practices. We aim to provide a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere. We understand and respect that all individuals have their own unique lived experiences. We can and will advocate for you, your gender and pronouns, and your beliefs and practices.
