Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance which has been observed internationally since 1999. This day commemorates those who died because of prejudice and anti-transgender violence, and is an important reminder that inclusive and safe spaces need to be upheld and protected for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals, as well as all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
