A heartfelt thank you to all of our GAP Ambassadors who volunteered their time throughout the season. We loved meeting neighbours, sharing the GAP story, and connecting with our community. 💚

Wednesday was our last day at the Market for this season, but we’ll be back at the Outdoor Christmas Market at Gull Lake Rotary Park on November 7th! 🎄

We hope to see you there!

💚 Giving Back, One Helping Hand at a Time! 💚

Yesterday, GAP welcomed a team of four from Stan Darling Insurance Inc. for a special volunteer afternoon!

As part of the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of giving back, the team rolled up their sleeves and jumped right in to help distribute Fowler Construction’s Thanksgiving hampers. From stuffing GAP food hampers and carrying them out to waiting vehicles to helping with sweeping and cleaning, they were ready to lend a hand wherever needed!

Amber McTaggart, Personal Lines Manager, shared these kind words:

“Thank you so much for having us, we very much enjoyed the opportunity to assist and learn about everything you do for our community.”

A heartfelt thank you to Leah Jones, Lina Melo, Sandra Lawrie, and Amber McTaggart for spending your afternoon with us. Your willingness to pitch in made a difference, and we loved having you here!

It’s wonderful to see local businesses encouraging their teams to get involved and support the community. When we work together, we can do so much more for our neighbours. 💚

🦃 Fowler Construction’s Thanksgiving Tradition! 🍂

Once again, Fowler Construction provided Gravenhurst Against Poverty with 100 Thanksgiving hampers, each filled with a frozen turkey, all the fixings, and a pumpkin pie. ❤️

Today’s Thanksgiving hamper deliveries brought another wonderful reason to celebrate the generosity of our community!

The excitement among GAP volunteers was unmistakable when all the hamper bags arrived already filled! Seeing them ready for delivery brought smiles, energy, and a real sense of anticipation as everyone came together to help make Thanksgiving special for local neighbours and their families.

We sincerely appreciate Fowler Construction for continuing this meaningful tradition and helping make the holiday a little brighter for so many households in our community. Your kindness makes a real difference!

Thank you to everyone who helped make today’s deliveries possible! Together, we’re making sure more neighbours can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with the people they love.

Our hearts are full this Thanksgiving season. 💚

Pictured here is one of our volunteer GAP teams unpacking and sorting the incredible amount of food brought in through recent food drives organized by local businesses and community organizations.

Behind every bag, box and donation is someone who chose to help. Someone who took the time to give. Someone who believes in caring for their neighbours.

We are deeply thankful for the generosity and kindness shown by our community. Your support makes a real difference and helps GAP continue our work of neighbours helping neighbours.

Thank you, Gravenhurst, for showing what community truly looks like. 💚
