Today we received the heartbreaking news that Claude Lemieux has passed away.

Our hearts are with his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who loved him.

There are no perfect words for a moment like this. Only sadness, shock, and a reminder we can’t ignore:

Check on your people.

The strong ones.
The quiet ones.
The funny ones.
The ones who always seem okay.

Life is precious, and none of us truly know what someone else is carrying.

Rest easy, Claude.

To all those we have lost, we think of you often.

The hockey world lost Claude Lemieux today.

A Stanley Cup champion. A competitor. A father. A person.

And today is another painful reminder that we never truly know what someone is carrying.

You can have the resume.
You can have the rings.
You can have the toughness.
You can look strong to the entire world and still be fighting something nobody sees.

At Puck Support, this is why we keep saying it:

Check on your people.
Ask twice.
Stay close.
Don’t assume the loudest, strongest, toughest person in the room is okay.

Rest in peace, Claude.

And to anyone struggling today, you are not a burden. You matter. Please reach out. Stay.

Today we remember Chris Simon.

A warrior on the ice. A teammate. A protector. A guy who would do anything for the people beside him.

A couple years ago I had the honour of speaking in his hometown of Wawa. His family was there. They welcomed me in, shared stories, and gave me some incredible gifts, including one of Chris’ eagle feathers.

That meant more than I can put into words.

It’s easy to remember the player. The toughness. The fights. The presence.

But behind that was a human being, like all of us, dealing with things we don’t always see.

We say it’s okay to be not okay.
But we have to keep showing up for each other. Checking in. Having the hard conversations.

Thinking of his family today, and everyone who knew and loved him.

Rest easy, Chris. You are not forgotten.

Five years ago today the hockey world lost Daniel Robert Minor.

Like many athletes, Daniel suffered an injury that led to pain medication. Over time, that struggle followed him through much of his adult life.

I didn’t know Daniel personally while he was alive, and neither did Puck Support at the time. But after his passing we connected with the Minor family, and over the years they’ve become family to us.

Today we remember Daniel.

A son.
A husband
A Dad
A teammate.
A friend.
Someone who mattered deeply to the people who loved him.

Someone who mattered deeply to the people who loved him.

To the Minor family — we are thinking of you today and always. Your willingness to share Daniel’s story has helped shine a light on struggles many families quietly face.

Daniel’s story is a reminder that behind every headline is a human being, a family, and a life that mattered.

Rest easy, Daniel.
You are not forgotten.

Our hearts are broken for the Southern Alberta Mustangs community.

Three young hockey players, JJ Wright, Cameron Casorso, and Caden Fine, lost their lives on their way to the rink. Kids who were doing what they loved. Kids with teammates waiting for them. Kids with families who should still be cheering them on.

Hockey is supposed to be the safe place.
The early mornings. The car rides. The laughs. The dreams.

Moments like this shake our entire hockey world because we all see our own kids, our own drives, our own families in it.

Today, we send love to their parents, siblings, teammates, coaches, billets, and everyone carrying this loss. There are no words big enough — only compassion, community, and the promise that these boys will never be forgotten.

We skate with you.
Always. 🖤
