After resisting and delaying, they were finally forced to release the Epstein files. The 3.5 million pages of documents lay out the seedy wheeling and dealings of Epstein and his associates.

The files confirm everything Marxists have explained about the inner workings of the capitalist system itself, politics, morality and law under capitalism.

This week Joel is joined by Josh Holroyd, editor for the In Defence of Marxism magazine and member of the International Secretariat of the Revolutionary Communist International

At the founding congress of the RCP, the assembled delegates voted unanimously to adopt the Manifesto of the Revolutionary Communist Party as our founding document. It is on these principles and methods that we will build the party the working class needs to overthrow capitalism!

We fully agree with those communists who are interested in mutual aid that we must act urgently to end all the suffering caused by capitalism. For us, this is inarguable. But the question is: how?

We must take action, yes—but not haphazardly. Everything we do must be carefully evaluated with the end goal of communist revolution in mind. Only revolution can rip up the roots of poverty, exploitation, and oppression, so it is crucial that every tactic or strategy we take up serves that end goal. This means that we cannot accept the commonly-repeated refrains about mutual aid at face value. Improving the conditions of the working class, encouraging solidarity, and building movements are all very important goals—but is mutual aid really the way to achieve them?
