☎️ Casual On-Call Staff Needed

We’re looking to add casual, on-call staff to our team to help cover sick days, appointments, vacations, and other staff absences.

- No guaranteed hours, but likely 1-2 full days per week
- Early Learning/childcare experience preferred
- ECE certification considered an asset

Another reason to celebrate 🎉 Today we celebrated a very special milestone—our 2026 Preschool Graduation 🎓💛

Some of these little graduates have only been with us for a year, while others have grown with us since they were just two years old. Watching them learn, grow, and become the amazing little people they are today has been such a tremendous joy and privilege.

It’s a bittersweet day filled with so much pride (and yes… a few tears). We are so grateful to share these moments with our wonderful families and to have been a small part of each child’s journey.

Congratulations to our graduates—we know you’ll do incredible things! 🌟

Today marks the final day of our afterschool program for the year 💛

What an incredible group of kids—we’ve truly loved every minute spent learning, laughing, and growing together. One of the most special parts of this program is watching friendships form between children who may not have crossed paths during the school day and watching the strong bonds they create.

Thank you for an amazing, fun-filled year. Wishing all of our families a safe and happy summer!

Preschool had a special treat today! 🌊🌊

Today the children were invited to explore dulse—a familiar and meaningful part of life here on our island. For many of our children, dulse is more than just something we eat; it’s part of their everyday experiences, their families, and their community.

Through this invitation, the children had the opportunity to touch, smell, observe, and share their own knowledge and stories. It was wonderful to hear their connections—many spoke about family members who harvest, prepare, or even run their own dulse businesses.

By bringing familiar, meaningful materials into our program, we help strengthen children’s sense of identity, belonging, and pride in their community 💚

The Early Learning Room got a little messy and had a LOT of fun exploring oobleck! 👐

What may look like simple sensory play is actually rich learning in action. The children were investigating how oobleck changes from solid to liquid, strengthening fine motor skills through scooping and squeezing, and using descriptive language to share their discoveries.

We love seeing curiosity come to life through hands-on, play-based learning! 💛

If your kiddos come home today with muddy boots (and possibly a missing sock or two), we can explain.....😆

Through exploring muddy puddles, children are:
- building gross motor, coordination, and core strength
- gaining social and language skills as they interact with peers
- building a strong connection and appreciation for nature
- engaging in risk taking
- exploring sensory and emotional regulation
