A Remarkable Gift of Compassion 🙏

Today, we were honoured to welcome members of the Odd Fellows Exploits Lodge No. 2N, who stopped by to present the proceeds from their incredible Benefit Concert held on October 16th.

🎶 Thanks to the generosity of the organizers, the talented performers, and the supportive community who came together for this event, an astonishing $12,200 was raised in support of compassionate end-of-life care at Lionel Kelland Hospice.

During their visit, the Odd Fellows joined us for a tour of the Hospice, where they were able to see firsthand how their contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and families.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for this remarkable show of community spirit and kindness. 💙💚

Hailing from a deeply musical family in Central Newfoundland, Tracy and her son Kyle bring a unique blend of talent and energy to every stage they step on. Tracy is a gifted vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, performing on piano, and guitar. Her strong, soulful voice has become a hallmark of their sound.

Kyle, now 25, is widely recognized as one of Newfoundland’s finest young accordion players—his talent even acknowledged in the House of Assembly. From an early age, his family noticed his uncanny ability to hear and pick up rhythm, a gift that has since grown into mastery of not only the accordion, but also guitar, tin whistle, and just about anything that can be turned into an instrument—even a garbage bag! Over the years, Kyle has performed with some of Newfoundland’s most distinguished musicians, including Buddywasisname and The Navigators.

Together, Tracy and Kyle perform a wide range of music, from classic 60s and 70s tunes to Irish and Newfoundland folk songs, always infusing their shows with the warmth and joy of family music-making. Their performances reflect not only their individual talents but also the musical spirit that flows naturally through their home and heart
