Mental Health For All
The Canadian Mental Health Association, Newfoundland and Labrador Division (CMHA-NL), is a voluntary, non-profit, charitable organization. CMHA-NL division's provincial office was established in 1964 and is located in St. John's. We also have two regional offices located in Grand Falls-Windsor (Central) and Stephenville (Western). We are governed by a volunteer board of directors from all over the province. CMHA-NL works with the national CMHA office, as well as other provincial branches/divisions, to provide information on mental health, mental illness, and related resources and services to people throughout the province.
Mental health is essential to overall well-being and is more than just the absence of illness. Good mental health is something that we can all have, regardless of whether or not one has a mental illness. We are all responsible for trying to improve mental health because there is no health without mental health! To learn about current programs, services, and areas of focus please visit our website or contact your local CMHA office.
If you or someone you know is having a mental health crisis please contact the Mental Health Crisis Line at (709) 737-4668 or toll free 1-888-737-4668.
