The Town of Golden and Kicking Horse Culture invite local artists & designers to submit a creative proposal to update Golden's lamp post banners!

Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026

Theme: Community, Connection & Mountain Life

Process: Submissions will be reviewed by a 5 person jury, one design concept will be selected.

This opportunity is open to:
- Emerging and established artists
- Preference will be given to artists living in Golden or Area A.
- Artists working in illustration, painting, graphic design, digital media, photography, or other visual arts practices
- Artists may submit individually or as a collaborative team.

Well, that's a wrap on Summer Kicks 2026! And what a season it was...

10 live concerts: 8 in Town, 2 in Area A
7 touring bands
15 local bands/artists
Nearly 4,000 attendees overall
Many dance moves made
Dozens and dozens of buttons created
Countless ice cream cones consumed

Here's to an amazing summer and a big HIP HIP to everyone who came out to the shows this season. We can't wait to do it again next year.
