Oki. Did you know? CRA is piloting an Automatic Tax Filing program in March 2027. Eligible individuals will be those who are considered a 'Simple File', on low income and will not owe any taxes. This is an 'opt in' system, so CRA will need your approval before they file for you automatically. If you are eligible, you may be receiving a notification to go to your MyCRA account (if you have one) or a letter in the mail.

As always, if you receive something that you are not sure about, please feel free to drop by and we will help you determine if it is a scam or not.

Important Information: All historical carbon tax rebates from the federal government will not be paid out for any tax filings after October 30, 2026. If you have not filed for a few years, we encourage you to file so that you do not miss out on any of these back payments.

Oki Nation Members, We wanted to share some information with you if you have shared custody of your children and have not determined how the Child Tax Benefit will be split between the parents in the coming year.

Application: Both parents must file an application (Form RC66) for the CCB, and the CRA determines eligibility based on the shared custody arrangement.
