This summer’s overnight camps invite older children and teens into deeper adventure, independence, teamwork, and wilderness connection.

From the Ancestral Skills Wilderness Camp to the Teen Canoe Overnight Camp, campers will build shelters, cook over fires, paddle waterways, learn bushcraft skills, and experience the magic of unplugged outdoor living.

These are the kinds of experiences children remember forever.

Nothing brings a community together quite like sharing a meal. 🍔 🥗

Thank you to all the staff and parents who donated produce, veggie burgers, sides and cutlery to help make this happen. And a BIG heartfelt thank you to Roach Farms for generously donating the hamburger for our year-end BBQ. Today, the Porcupine class had their Rite of Passage ceremony—a meaningful milestone on their journey toward greater responsibility and independence.

Parents shared heartfelt stories, students passed a special childhood offering on to the Fox class, and proudly demonstrated their skill by shooting the handmade bows and arrows they crafted themselves. Each student also received a commemorative gift to honour this important transition.

We are so proud of these remarkable young people and all they have become. Congratulations, Porcupine Class! ❤️

There’s excitement building as we prepare for our year-end concert this week! 🎶

From practicing songs to creating props for plays, the children have been pouring their creativity, imagination, and hard work into every detail. The classrooms have been buzzing with music, laughter, and anticipation as they get ready to share all they’ve accomplished this year.

We can’t wait to celebrate this beautiful school year together and cheer on our students as they take the stage. 🌟

It’s inspiring to see children creating with their own hands — planning, building, problem-solving, and working together outdoors. This season, our middle school group has been hard at work building their own yurt, while our early elementary children have been creating a longhouse from the ground up, both a reflection of the cultural unit they are in.

What begins as loose parts and big ideas slowly becomes shelter, gathering space, and a reflection of their teamwork and creativity. 🏠
