What a night!
Our 3rd annual night at the Museum was such an amazing success, even with a “tiny” bit of rain! Lol
We want to start by thanking everyone who came out to enjoy the night and support our museum, even with the rain we had the biggest turn out yet. I want to personally thank our board of hard working members, it is a pleasure to work beside you all.
Thank you to our sponsors and donors, every business that covered the cost of our bouncy castles and face painting table for the kids it’s truly appreciated so much and it makes this night possible. The prize donations for our raffle table also made this such a success, we truly are sooo thankful for you all 🙂
Thank you to the ladies at Lake and country realty, and Glaslyn Agencies for your hard work with our 50/50, and congratulations to our Winner Lynn Sabree taking home $1000!
Thank you to Greenpark Greenhouse (Janice Jamieson) for Donating 4 hanging baskets as a seperate draw to raise money for us to buy more self watering Planters for our museum, they generously donated 2 planters and filled them with beautiful flowers for our museum earlier this month.
Thank you to our bands! They were all such a treat to have perform at our little museum. Pat Delainey sr, Pat Delainey jr, Aj and the band. The Pruden family who even played through the rain with smiles on their faces and rocked our stage!Troy W, and Terry Chernesky who both joined in and sang for us! It was amazing!! Thank you all so much!
To our volunteers, we truly have an amazing team and this again would not be possible without you. Our canteen was a busy place and you all made sure the food and treats were perfect, I even saw dancing and laughing through it all, thank you all so much!
We had our new summer students (Sam and Kaze) offering tours by Donation, they were busy showing off our museum all night!
This event is targeted for all ages to enjoy, and again, this year had smiles on so many
faces and that is what this event is all about, It was heart warming to see đź’•
I am very proud of our little community of Glaslyn, with the support and generosity of everyone, our grand total for our fundraiser is $5000! This keeps our doors open, maintenance up to date, and future purchases for our museum. Our project this year is to light up our water tower with Christmas lights right to the top! We would like to thank Lyle at Glaslyn power and equipment for donating the hooks needed to fasten the lights.
Again thank you EVERYONE, and we will see you all next year at our 4th annual Night at the Museum!
Museum hours:
Opening July 3rd! Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays 12-4pm, we will be offering “after hour” tours as well this year, please call Jessie at (306)441-0896 if you would like a tour on a day our Museum isn’t open.
Have a great summer everyone!
