Does anyone have any extra green tomatoes? 💚

We have JUST enough for a small batch for our chow workshop next week, but would love more to be able to hand out to clients for Christmas. If you have even a few, we’d happily take them off your hands. Please reach out, drop them off, or let us know and someone can come pick them up this weekend! Thanks!

With the remaining tomatoes left in our garden, we’re seeking volunteers interested to learn the steps to prepare and preserve this sweet and tangy Cape Breton favorite. Hi,
I would like to send a big thank you to those who heard our plea for donations and came forward. Greatly appreciated.
Our foodbank is still in a challenging position as we provide meals and food hampers 5 days a week with our operational cost getting very high.
We are seeing new people everyday whose lives changed in a minute.
We operate because this service is needed more then ever and I could not imagine if we were not hear to help with the pressures people are facing.
Being a long standing non-profit help line contributes to the hope that our clients feel.
Phone calls and visits from young to seniors are very sad 😔 and compelling.
If you wish to know more about us or have ideas to help please call 902 849 0750 or drop by for a visit and ask for Linda. You can also etransfer to [email protected].
Thank you to our businesses, organizations and our community ❤️ for supporting our cause to fill tables.
I wish everyday that we would not be needed and life would be affordable for all but that is not the reality.
So our foodbank moves forward with kindness, understanding, compassion and lots of tears trying to find solutions.
Hugs to all.
