We are very sad to hear that Laraine Penney has passed away. Lorraine spent a huge part of her life in Table Head in her home on Howe Street. Although the house is gone, there are some of us who will never forget the wonderful memories that took place in and around her yard. Numerous games of tag, hide and seek, cops and robbers and delicious snacks and treats. She showed exceptional kindness to the kids in the neighborhood and was a good friend to many. Our first summer splash was usually in her kid's pool and our first ride on a bicycle built for two was with Laraine. Who wouldn't love a ride on the milk truck with free chocolate milk, Laraine made sure her Dad gave us that also. She spent time at the shore with us, taught me how to float on my back in the fish hole. She was patient, kind and giving to her community. She taught nursery school and even let the two Table Headers (Cindy and Dale), who took off an hour early on their own, one day, at four years old, from the armouries, where they attended kindergarten, return without any repercussions! LOL!
She shared her life with her wonderful husband Allie, who predeceased her, and left to mourn are her children and their families , Albert, Karl, Marlaine and Nancy, and extended family. Condolences to all, she was an incredible lady and will be missed.
