Whenever there is a public hearing in a subdivision with a property owner’s association, we send the contact that we get from the RM of Gimli a copy, along with mailing a notice to the property owners within 100m radius.

Lake winnipeg foundation 20 years of advocating for lake winnipeg.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and vice president, Bernie Wilson.

Bernie was a dedicated member and Vice President of the Association for almost 2 decades.

During this time he was integral to the success of many projects we undertook:

The Nature trail, shoreline reinforcement, upgrades to the playground structure, re-paving of lakeshore drive and ongoing drainage improvements. As well as attending meetings with the RM and on the committee to bring awareness and action to improve the health of lake winnipeg.

Through these contributions and many others, he made our community a better place to live in and enjoy.

We will miss his smile, his wit, lightheartedness and his dedication to the Association.

On behalf of myself and the Association please join us in offering our sincere condolances to his partner, Judy, and to their families. Please see the link to Bernie’s tribute. There is also a link to Cancer Care Manitoba if you would like to make a donation on Bernie’s behalf.

In the coming days we will determine a meeting date for the Association in order to elect a new executive.
